Amanda McCormack is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Mind Body and Harmony Health. With a strong foundation in clinical expertise and a passion for helping others, Amanda is committed to providing personalized, holistic mental health care to individuals of all backgrounds.

She specializes in comprehensive mental health assessments, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders, medication management, and psychotherapy. Amanda believes in treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and takes the time to understand each client’s unique experiences, needs, and goals.

Professional Psychiatric Treatments You Can Choose

Depression

One may experience persistent sadness, lack of motivation, disrupted sleep, excessive guilt, or feelings of hopelessness. Treatment may include medication, psychotherapy, and lifestyle changes to improve mood and daily functioning.

Anxiety

An individual may experience constant worry, restlessness, muscle tension, racing thoughts, or difficulty concentrating. Treatment may include cognitive behavioral therapy, medication, mindfulness practices, and lifestyle adjustments to reduce symptoms and improve daily life.

Bipolar Disorder

Characterized by intense mood swings, including episodes of elevated energy and impulsivity followed by deep lows, this condition can affect relationships, sleep, and judgment. Treatment may include mood stabilizers, therapy, and behavioral strategies.

Schizophrenia

Symptoms may include hallucinations, delusional thinking, reduced emotional expression, and difficulty with concentration. Comprehensive treatment may involve antipsychotic medications, therapy, and psychosocial support.

ADD/ADHD

Individuals may struggle with sustaining attention, impulsive behavior, restlessness, or difficulty completing tasks. Treatment often involves stimulant or non-stimulant medications, behavior therapy, and supportive structure.

Obsessive- Compulsive Disorder

OCD involves intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviors aimed at reducing anxiety. Treatment may include exposure-based therapy, cognitive strategies, and medications to manage compulsions and reduce distress.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

PTSD may develop after experiencing or witnessing trauma and can include flashbacks, avoidance, hypervigilance, and emotional numbing. Treatment can include trauma-focused therapy, medications, and stress reduction techniques.

Insomnia

One may have difficulty falling or staying asleep, waking up too early, or feeling unrested. Treatment options include cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), sleep hygiene strategies, and sometimes medication.
